Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Meteoric (“we,” “us,” or “the app”) handles information when you use Meteoric Nutri-Snap public pages and the private journal app. A comprehensive privacy policy is required for advertising programs and for basic visitor trust.

Who we are

Meteoric operates the Meteoric Nutri-Snap website and journal at snapnutri.netlify.app. Contact: support@meteoric.app. This policy covers public educational pages and the private journal experience.

Information you provide

Account details when you sign in or create an account, including email address and profile preferences such as display name, language, height, weight, and daily targets.

Journal entries you choose to save, including meals, hydration logs, workouts, sleep sessions, check-ins, notification preferences, and exports you generate.

Support emails you send to us, including whatever you choose to include in the message body.

Information stored on your device

The journal may use browser local storage and similar technologies as a cache and offline aid for sign-in state, preferences, advertising consent choices, and journal data. Clearing site data removes local copies on that browser.

Cookies, local storage, and Google AdSense

We use essential browser storage to operate the site and remember preferences such as advertising consent.

On public pages only, Google AdSense and related Google advertising services may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads, subject to your consent choices where required. Personalized ads load only after you accept them. You may choose limited/non-personalized ads or reject advertising cookies.

We do not place AdSense units inside the private journal at /app/, and we do not use sensitive health journal contents (meals, BMI, sleep scores, workouts) to personalize ads.

Learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Manage ads at adssettings.google.com. Industry opt-out tools may also be available via aboutads.info.

Servers and providers

Hosting and API functions may process pairing codes, device tokens, latest watch sensor payloads needed for live sync, and operational events used to keep the product reliable.

When configured, authenticated journal data may sync to our database provider under your account ownership rules.

If you analyze a food photo, the image is sent to our analysis pathway and may be processed by Google Gemini to return a nutrition estimate. Avoid uploading sensitive non-food information in those images.

Legal bases and regional choices

Where required, including for many visitors in the EEA and UK, we rely on consent for non-essential advertising cookies and personalized ads. You can withdraw consent by rejecting ads in the banner or clearing site data and choosing again. Essential storage needed to operate the journal may still be used.

Retention

Local cache remains until you delete it or clear browser data. Cloud account data remains until you delete it or request deletion where available. Pairing codes expire quickly. Advertising technology retention follows Google’s policies.

Your choices

Update preferences, export data, sign out, delete on-device data, disconnect a watch, change advertising consent on the Advertising page, or deny browser permissions for camera, microphone, location, or notifications.

Children

Meteoric is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided information, contact us so we can take appropriate steps.

Security and changes

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a consumer journaling product. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy where permitted by law.
